Let's not forget the Washington Post as they're literally a part of the For-Profit Education Lobby. Kaplan owns the Washington Post. The Washington Post loses money every year but is propped up by Kaplan's very profitable college and test prep services.

The fact is that most for-profit colleges can and do receive well over the current rule of 90% of their total income from Federal funds because they have in the recent years targeted veterans and the new Post 9/11 GI Bill. Under current regulation, these funds, which almost always cover 100% of the veteran's education bill, these predators can count the tuition money coming in from the VA as cash.

They found a loophole and have been using it - to the tune of millions of dollars per year.

You have red the article in national geographic August, too, correct? The writer had some photos from his travels via the world and wrote very similar about his trip. Oh man, and I have to remain the next 4 month in my boring hometown until i can travel once more.

This whole locally sourced movement is an interesting turn of events. We can only wait and see what happens when this starts cutting into Monsanto and Cargill's bottom line.

That would certainly be a problem. Hopefully there's no shortage of refreshing ginger beer to keep everyone hydrated and peppy.
