1. Skinny Bitch Jesus Meeting
Katie Hartman and Leah Rudick are two New York comedy sirens who draw you in with a fishhook through your raised eyebrow. They perform at UCB, Caroline's, and the People's Improv Theater.

2. We're Matt Weir
An improv/sketch duo so nice that they both have the same name. Aggressively absurd and lovingly committed, they make Tim and Eric look like Mork and Mindy. And vice versa. Their presence blesses the Magnet and Peoples Improv Theaters.

3. Side Hustle
Operating out of Chicago, Side Hustle is the rare two-man team whose looks, wit, and talent are all on the same level. That level is twelve. They are currently developing several projects, and you will hear about the good one.

4. Puddin'
Not exactly a group, Puddin is a web series that stars Eddie Pepitone. Updated daily monday to friday, it fills the space left by Far Side with the screaming id of a madman. Imagine a New Yorker cartoon by a man vomiting in the alleyway behind the New Yorker offices.

5. Rue Brutalia
I don't really know these Brooklyn comedians, but they come highly recommended. And there's two of them, so it fills out the list nicely.
